The Retail Community by BC&B, is the first Retail Innovation Community in Mexico. It was founded by BC&B associate Jorge Saldivar Cerda, who also directs it. Our challenge was to create and carry out a communication and content strategy with the Retail Innovation Report 2022 as a starting point. We were aiming to contribute in the business segment positioning, as well as media and interest groups positioning, while creating influence communities towards the firm.
Our efforts went towards transmitting, connecting and creating authentic relationships with key audiences and media outlets in order to promote “The Retail Community”. Press activities started with the Retail Innovation Report 2022 launch breakfast at BC&B headquarters. One on one interviews were arranged to strengthen Jorge Saldivar’s figure as spokesman and expert, and opinion columns were placed monthly in the most important media outlets regarding Retail, Marketing, and Business.
The Retail Innovation Report 2022 was successfully positioned in specialized media, creating, strengthening, and promoting a specific agenda with the help of key messages that were in tone with the firm. Also, the community’s reputation grew, magnifying BC&B’s voice with 60 online publications, 6 opinion columns, 6 social media publications, one press release and 2 interviews with the most important media outlets in the business segment, such as Expansión, El Economista, Revista NEO, American Retail, and El Publicista (print media).
