THE VISION BEHIND THE CAMPAIGN
To mark International Women's Day, the Delegation of the European Union to Mexico sought to develop a communications campaign that would extend beyond March 8 and evolve into a month-long platform for intercultural dialogue.
The goal was to highlight progress, challenges, and shared commitments to gender equality and human rights while strengthening collaboration between Mexico and the member states of the European Union.
The primary challenge was to unify a diverse program of institutional, academic, and cultural events under a single strategic narrative that could engage journalists, opinion leaders, public institutions, artists, activists, and civil society without losing consistency or clarity. At the same time, it was essential to secure strong media coverage that would amplify the campaign's impact well beyond the events themselves.
BRINGING THE VISION TO LIFE
Beginning in January 2025, we led a fully integrated 360-degree communications and public relations strategy. Our work included strategic planning, creative concept development, visual identity design, event production, media outreach, and press management.
The campaign was designed to create meaningful experiences across social, academic, and artistic spaces while reinforcing a shared message: gender equality is a collective commitment that requires continuous action.
The program unfolded throughout a key week in March:
March 6 | Vasconcelos Library
An institutional gathering that brought together European and Mexican representatives to discuss gender equality challenges and opportunities for international cooperation. March 11 | Jaime Torres Bodet Cultural Center A seminar on women, violence, and organized crime featuring experts who examined these issues through a human rights and prevention perspective.
March 12 | Cultural Center of Spain in Mexico
A panel discussion titled "Women in the Arts," featuring artists including Andrea Echeverri and Rosamar Corcuera, who explored the contributions and challenges faced by women in the cultural sector.
March 13 | Cultural Center of Spain in Mexico
The "Ruiseñora" concert, an immersive artistic experience combining live music and visual arts that concluded the campaign with a message of creativity, resilience, and hope.
In parallel, we implemented a comprehensive PR and media strategy that included interviews with key spokespeople such as Wilfred Mohr, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Mexico; Javier Samper Orgilés, Director of EL PACCTO 2.0; and leading cultural figures including Andrea Echeverri, actress Cassandra Ciangherotti, and Mexican film producer Casandra Casasola.
We also led the campaign's social media strategy, developing editorial calendars, audiovisual content, and creative assets that supported each event, expanded digital reach, and kept the conversation active throughout the month.
VOICES THAT LEFT A LASTING IMPACT
The campaign brought together more than 400 attendees across its series of events while securing coverage in leading Tier 1 media outlets, including Canal Once, La Jornada, and a dedicated feature in Marvin magazine, as well as institutional coverage from the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN).
Beyond the numbers, Voices That Inspire successfully established March as a dynamic platform for dialogue, creativity, and international cooperation—demonstrating how strategic communications and cultural programming can come together to reinforce a powerful message: gender equality is not a destination, but a collective effort built every day.
